Cumbria Club Paddlers, Centre staff and Aspirant River Leaders - Intermediate standard. Minimum age 18
Cumbria Canoeists Coaching Team wants to support and develop opportunities of whitewater “River Running” for Cumbria clubs, centres, organisations and individuals. We are offering a series of 4 managed white water “River Run” days, on local grade 2/3 rivers eg: Lune, Leven, Eden, Kent, Tees. To include coaching/training for paddlers who are interested to:

These events are open to Cumbrian paddlers – or friends of – with an interest in white water river kayaking who would like to extend and develop their skills and experience. Talk to the organiser if you need to confirm whether your experience and capabilities are sufficient. Participants should have a Cumbrian address and be a member of British Canoeing or a member of a recognised British Canoeing affiliated canoe club/centre/organisation.
Cost: £20 for x4 sessions – payable in advance by BACS to “Cumbria Canoeists” Sort Code 01-08-93 A/C# 14482177. Please add your surname and the event codes as the BACS payment reference.
If you are not a member of British Canoeing, we have to arrange membership equivalent liability insurance cover for you for on the water session. The cost is £5 per person per event; Alternatively, we would encourage BC adult membership at £45 or £65 for a couple per annum. Please add the insurance charge to the event fee payment.

Using the right kayak and gear is very important, so if you do not have this please borrow or hire one from a club or commercially. Cumbria Canoeists have three white water kayaks and gear that are available for a small donation. Personal paddling equipment, adequate gear, a change of clothes, food and drink for each day’s paddle are essential.
Before you can book on any Cumbria Canoeist's event you must have completed a one time Paddler Registration.
