Booking policy

Booking an event

Picture
Picture
You can make direct contact with the event organiser to express your interest in attending an event. Alternatively you can book directly on to the event using the form in the calendar.  Once your booking has been confirmed by the organiser the final action is to make payment by BACS. Your booking is only agreed when payment has been received. The organiser will let you know when to pay for your event.  Please make a separate payment for each event once requested. Your booking is only confirmed once payment is received.

BACS details are:
Account Name:            Cumbria Canoeists
SORT code:                     01-08-93
Account No:                  14482177

To track your payment for an event please ensure you add a reference comprising the event reference, location and your surname eg SK1 Oban Smith.

Participant Cancellation

Participants may cancel without reason a booking within 14 days of payment. If you need to cancel a booking please immediately notify the event organiser by email.  If you are entitled to a refund, please liaise with the Treasurer (treasurer.cumbriardt@vol.britishcanoeing.org.uk ) stating details of the payment (event, when paid, how much) and your bank account and sort code (in a secure encrypted mail).
If a deposit for a trip/course is required, the deposit is returnable when the organiser is notified of the withdrawal from the event and a reserve or a replacement participant is found.

Event cancellation, relocation or rescheduling

Usually this is because of adverse weather, non-availability of coaches/leaders or insufficient recruitment to run an event viably.  In these situations, Cumbria Canoeists will refund the fee when we cancel an event.
