Border Kayaks
Border Kayaks is owned and run by Antony Pike Bowyer, Antony has worked in the industry for the last 15 years, to begin with at Carlisle Canoes for Jim Wilson, then Brookbank Carlisle and now his very own store, Border Kayaks.
Over the last 15 years Antony has built up a great knowledge of paddle sport equipment and will try his best to answer your questions or advise you on the right equipment for what you want to do, be that which Whitewater kayak is best for you or what's the safest way to get out and enjoy yourself on the water.
Border Kayaks has been set up so that local Paddlers have a store to try equipment out and to get advice and chat about paddling. Supplying the paddling community of the north west of England and the Scottish borders from our website and our pop up shops to allow anyone to get advice and equipment to enjoy paddling.
In 2019, after 6 years at the Longtown location we have moved out and taken the shop mobile and increase the courses side of border kayaks

Kinetic Paddlesports is run by Ian Adey, a Level 5 inland kayak coach and advanced water canoe coach, based in the South Lakes, with two decades of experience coaching paddlesports around the world. We deliver a wide range of British Canoeing qualifications, as well as our own skill development courses such as white water canoe coaching and steep creeking in our top of the range kayaks. Passing on precise, modern and cutting edge techniques and technical knowledge to our clients is what we're about.
