Chris Brain
Chris has worked in the outdoors for over 25 years coaching and guiding and delivering professional development courses.  He is a British Canoeing (Paddle UK) National Trainer
Chris specialises in paddlesport and is able to deliver a range of personal skills, leadership, safety and rescue courses. Chris seamlessly integrates his knowledge and experience of the outdoors into all of his coaching and training, giving his clients fun, engaging and developmental experiences.  
Ian Adey
​Kinetic Paddlesport is run by Ian Adey, a Level 5 inland kayak coach and advanced water canoe coach, with two decades of experience coaching paddlesport around the world. Ian is based in the village of Staveley in the Lake District and has developed his advanced skills across multiple paddling disciplines through years as a coach. He has a continual drive to improve his own personal performance and technical understanding on the water .
Sean McGrath
​Owner and highly experienced Paddler and coach/leader educator of Cumbrian based “WildRiver” Sean is a Level 5 Coach with over 20 years paddling experience and has paddled on most continents around the world. Sean's passion for paddling took him to many different rivers in a variety of boats. Providing a variety of BC coach, leader education and safety courses - delivering in kayaks, canoes and SUP’s
​Gav Smallbone
Hawes End Outdoor Centre Manager - highly experienced white water Paddler - L5 Coach, Advanced ww Leader. Keen to support coach/leader development.
​Dan Wilkinson
Having always worked in the outdoors I have a depth and breadth of skill, experience and knowledge in both Paddlesport and Mountaineering. I hold some of the highest professional awards in the UK:
  • British Canoeing Coaching Diploma
  • British Canoeing Level 5 coach (whitewater kayak)
  • British Canoeing MW coach (Canoe and Sea Kayak)
MSc in Performance Coaching (distinction) through Stirling University.

I have undertaken first descents by kayak as a member of the below and beyond team, am a Team Pyranha paddler, was involved in the campaign to Save the Conwy and am currently the Area Representative for Save Our Rivers for the Lake District. Through this role I am trying to put a little something back into a sport that has given me so much.
Sarah Keight
Sarah is British canoeing (Paddle UK) National Trainer. She provides tailored leadership and coaching in canoeing, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding.
Alongside various paddle UK courses including Safety and Rescue, Paddlesport Leader, and Paddlesport Instructor.
Antony Pike-Bowyer
Owner of Border Kayaks paddlesport retailer with over 20 years coaching and leadership experience, I like to keep myself current on all different disciplines of paddlesport, my main passion is Whitewater kayaking, coaching and leading on the river but I do enjoying getting out in canoes, sit on top kayaks and Stand up Paddle boards on a mixture water working with people looking to get the best out of their time on the water.
