Chairman & Regional Coaching Rep

Mike Sunderland

Picture
Ex Slalom paddler - now paddles white water and sea kayak and sometimes open boats...
Chairman - by default - Mike leads the Cumbria Canoeists (British Canoeing Regional Development Team of Cumbria) from the front and behind the scenes representing Cumbria at the British Canoeing meetings in Nottingham.  In addition he is Cumbria Regional Coaching Rep, working with an outstanding team of volunteer coaches making things happen (Coaching Matters Updates, coaching workshops etc) supporting and initiating paddling projects for the Cumbria coaching scene.
As a Level 5 white water coach and experienced 4* sea kayak leader, Mike would rather "be on the water than in meetings"
