Dear Colleague,
We are a coalition of communities living along the River Kent established in Autumn 2021. We include members from Staveley, Burneside and Kendal in South Lakeland, Cumbria. Our aim is to keep the wonderful River Kent in Cumbria clean for water-based recreation, and to protect the ecology and wildlife. Please find attached an invite to an Autumn ‘drop-in’ Open Event on Friday 21st October between 4 – 7pm at The Pavilion, 87 Main Street, Staveley (this is the same format as our Open Day in Spring 2022). The aims of the Open Event are to:
Between 4-6pm there will be refreshments, a series of displays to look at, activities asking for feedback/suggestions, and the ‘premiere’ of a film featuring CRKC volunteers talking about the Rights of the River Kent. At 5.45pm there will be welcome drinks for all our wonderful CRKC volunteers. At 6pm there will be a presentation and a chance for Q&A. Please share this invitation with others. We hope you, friends, colleagues will be able to attend at some point during the afternoon/early evening. And don’t hesitate to get in touch in the meantime if you have any suggestions or questions. Kind regards, Isobel Stoddart (on behalf of the Clean River Kent campaign coalition) [email protected]
